WP MP DANIEL GOH: ADMIN OF JUSTICE BILL CASTS FEARFUL SHADOW ON S'PORE, MY FAMILY FEELS LESS SECURE

Mdm Speaker, I join my Workers’ Party colleagues to oppose this Bill. As an ordinary person who relies on the law to protect my family, I find this proposed law casts too large and fearful a shadow on the whole of Singapore and diminishes my sense of security for my family. Reading this Bill as an ordinary person sends a chill down my spine. I sincerely hope this is not the intended effect of the Bill. The chilling part is sub judice contempt.

WORKER'S PARTY DANIEL GOH: IT IS MY HONOUR TO BE A DUCKWEED IN PARLIAMENT

Objectively, this is true in the long run, and I am with the WP MPs and the party opposing the NCMP scheme. But for me, personally, at this point in my life, and as I see it, at this point in Singapore’s history, the principle of national service trumps the political principle of opposing the NCMP scheme. If my country sees fit that I contribute as duckweed, then it is my honour to be duckweed Goh. It is no insult; it is a privilege.

DANIEL GOH: GIVE MEDIA CHANCE TO DEVELOP

But our media institutions will not develop if we keep slamming them over this. A colleague notified me that a reporter called him up to ask about the rumours. Apparently the public flaming for reporting rumours is causing some to desperately try to verify the rumours. This crosses another professional and ethical line. Our media system is broken, but I trust we have good journalists in it from my interactions so far. We should debate and discuss how to fix it. Flaming the media and the journalists will not help. Let's move on to rationally debate the issues, including our media system, let's keep calm and hammer on.

PROF DANIEL GOH LODGES POLICE REPORT AGAINST POISON PEN LETTER ALLEGING AFFAIR

Hello everyone, again, I just lodged a police report on the poison pen letter at Serangoon NPC, a short walk down from where I live. It felt so unreal walking down the familiar sidewalk, perhaps it was the slight haze from the burning of paper money. I said during my speech at the Punggol East By-election rally that life is too short and special to be kiasu, kiasi and kiagui.

WP POTENTIAL CANDIDATE DANIEL GOH: I MAINTAIN A PROFESSIONAL RELATIONSHIP WITH MY STUDENTS!

Hello everyone, thank you for your amazing support thus far. Thanks for encouraging me to stand strong. Someone wrote a poison pen letter to WP and to the media to smear me with the allegation that I had an affair with a former student of mine whom I supervised for her thesis. And the media is going to run the story online and in print. The timing is sensational.

WP POTENTIAL CANDIDATE DANIEL GOH DENIES EXTRA-MARITAL AFFAIR WITH FORMER STUDENT

Several press in Singapore have received a letter on Thursday night from a "Max Chan" who alleged that Dr Daniel Goh had an affair in 2008 with a post-graduate student from NUS. In the e-mail that was also sent to Workers' Party secretary-general Low Thia Khiang and chairman Sylvia Lim, the writer questioned Dr Goh's character and morals. He also claimed that the woman's boyfriend, whom he referred to only as J, had found out about the alleged affair through her phone messages.
