The Court's judgment that Section 377A is "unenforceable" is a partial achievement for the LGBT community. But the fact that it remains show that gay men are still seen as criminals - that is unacceptable.

City Harvest Church's pastor Kong Hee surrendered at the State Courts and will start serving his jail term today. His sentence was significantly reduced from the original 8 years to 3 and a half years. All the other church leaders, except Chew Eng Han, will also serve their sentences today. Their jail terms (after huge discounts) range from 7 months to slightly more than 3 years. They were convicted of misappropriating $50million in church funds, the largest amount misappropriated in Singapore. The trial is also one of the longest-running criminal cases here and they are finally going to prison. As for Chew Eng Han, he will be bringing the case to the apex court and given time to prepare his own defence. #GodBlessKongHee Time for a new cell group in Changi?

And from what I know of other religions, donations are for maintaining the building of worship and its caretakers, i.e monks, prophets, pastors, priests, etc, etc. Not like city harvest church. Aggressive marketing and recruiting, forced 10% of salary to be donated to pastor, donations are being pressured.

While we made the call, he immediately called someone else on the phone, started shouting, entered his car and tried to escape! He even tried to run over my wife at the A&E Carpark while trying to exit but she move away. I stopped him at the exit gantry and he inched forward even while I stood in front of his car and then moments later, he accelerated fast to run me over. I injured my knee and fell onto the front of his car in this 2nd collision. The officers ran to us and asked him to move his car to the side, he did and when their back was turned to him, he sped off escaping from the police as well!
