I don't like breaking rule number 2, and my personal life really has nothing to do with this sub, but I've been thinking about this for a while now and circumstances being what they are.... For those of you who don't know, my name is Ian Fitzgerald.

In the courts today, Justice Tay Yong Kwang of the High Court dismissed a challenge against the ban on playing musical instruments during the Hindu procession, Thaipusam. 3 concerned Singaporeans, R. Vijaya Kumar, Balasubramaniam and M. Sathiamoorthy, who participated in this year's Thaipusam, had applied to challenge the ban earlier this year. They wanted to see the allowing of musical instruments such as the urumqi to be played at next year's event.

25 year-old Eugene Chong Jiajun wanted to live out his fantasy of driving an expensive, high powered sports car. So he rented a Ferrari, pasted 2 false license plates that he got off the internet, and drove around. His joy ride came to an end however when he was pulled over by a Land Transport Authority (LTA) officer for a check on 19th March 2013. Chong was driving a yellow Ferrari 360 Modena F1 at the time. His number plate showed SQ1H, which was registered to a silver Mercedes Benz E200 belonging to another unrelated owner.

34 year-old permanent resident May Thu San Kyaw Nyein was slapped with a $12,500 fine on Monday after she was convicted of abusing her maid, who is a fellow Myanmar national, and forcing her to perform humiliating acts on camera.
