APPEALS JUDGE DOUBLES SENTENCE FOR MAID WHO ABUSED BEDRIDDEN BOY

Although Kusrini was instructed to only place the suction cap outside the boy's nose and lips, she placed the suction cap inside the boy's mouth, which caused it to get lodged in the boy's throat when it accidentally was detached from the tube. MAN ACCUSED IN ST HILDA CHURCH FIRE CHARGED, NO REASON GIVEN TO HIS ACT

The man who was alleged to have set ablaze a room inside St Hilda's Church at Ceylon Road have been charged with committing mischief by fire. He had also been named as Yeo Liang Chai, a 60 year old. No reason was again given as to why he set the room in the church on fire. Based on reports, the charge was read to him in court as he stood expressionless in the dock. he had no lawyers representing him, and his case will be mentioned again next Wednesday. Yeo will be remanded at Central Police Division and may be taken out to assist officers with their investigations.

IMAM CHARGED WITH PROMOTING ENMITY OVER REMARKS ON JEWS, CHRISTIANS

Imam Nalla Mohamed Abdul Jameel has pleaded guilty to promoting enmity between different groups on grounds of religion or race. This is with regards to remarks the imam had made at Friday prayers at a mosque in January and February, where he recited an old Arabic text originating from his village in India that read: "God help us against Jews and Christians", which is not an extract from the Quran.

Look at this Court summon letter to a resident living in Jurong-Clementi Town Council, Only because the resident did not pay S&CC for 6 months he is being treated as a criminal and forced to answer charges in Court. If you notice, the resident owes $174.97 of conservancy fees over 6 months, which means one month resident only pay $29 a month. District Court Judge Jasvender Kaur has sentenced Amos Yee to be remanded at the Institute of Mental Health for 2 weeks while a report on his mandatory psychiatric treatment is done.
