MAN ARRESTED FOR IMPORTING 318 FAKE BAGS, WITH VALUE OF $11,680

Singapore Customs had inspected the consignment of goods suspected to be fakes, and brand owners subsequently confirmed 200 bags and pieces of luggage were indeed counterfeits. CID was informed, and after extensive inquiries, they carried out a raid at a Jurong Port warehouse and a Punggol residential unit. The 43 year old man was arrested, and a further 318 counterfeit bags were seized, with a total value believed to be $11,680.

CHINA NATIONALS ARRESTED FOR SELLING COUNTERFEIT MOTORBIKE PARTS & ACCESSORIES

Three Chinese nationals were arrested by the Police during a four-hour operation against the sale of counterfeit motorcycle parts and accessories. The officers from CID conducted simultaneous raids in Woodlands and Clementi, and nabbed the three foreign talents aged between 28 to 30. A total of about 440 pieces of trademark-infringing goods with an estimated street value of about $17,000 were seized. These included spool kits, balancers, riding gloves and bags. According to the Police, the three men had used e-commerce to order these counterfeit items from overseas sources, and sold them locally online.

HSA WARNS OF FAKE “EYE MO MOIST” EYE DROPS SOLD IN SG

On 1 March 2016, The Health Sciences Authority (HSA) issued a public health and safety alert over counterfeit eye drops sold at two shops in Singapore. At first glance, the imitation eye drops are only available in 7.5 ml whereas genuine Eye Mo products from GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) are available in pack sizes of 7.5 ml, 9 ml, 15 ml and 18 ml. PRC WORKERS PAID TO TEST FAKE VIAGRA PILLS QUIT, CLAIMS “TOO MUCH HARD WORK”

Employees were told to test fake Viagra on themselves, which would help manufacturers decide how much real sildenafil (the main chemical that aids in countering erectile dysfunction) the company could mix with cornflour to save costs. Employees who were married and lived within a short vicinity were told to take the pill home to test it while sleeping with their wives. Those from out of town were given money to sleep with prostitutes.

PRCS CAUGHT SELLING FAKE, RECYCLED CONDOMS WORLDWIDE

On 21st April this year, PRC police raided condom producing plants all over Shanghai and Henan Province and confiscated 3 million counterfeith condoms. What's disturbing is that these condoms have been exported all over the world and have evaded customs checks in countries as far as Italy in Europe, where police intercepted a huge shipment of fake condoms being transported by PRC nationals.
