I bought my lunch from a economical beef hoon stall at Dhoby Xchange the other day. I chose mix of fried rice and fried bee hoon, stir-fried cabbage, seaweed chicken, and a fried egg. This combination is my favourite, which costs me around 3.50 at foodcourts in my neighbourhood. However, the unfriendly and rude male staff charged $5.80!!! Is this because I am a foreigner who doesn't know the price in Singapore? I've never paid this kind of price for "economical" bee hoon. Do you think I was conned? In one of these days, I will ask my local friends to get the same combination and see how much the stall will charge him. Do you think it's overpriced?

Dear friends please be careful when you shop at supermarkets! I'm not one who likes posting negative stuff on Facebook but this JUST happened to me and can happen to you (who probably didn't even realise it).

One night we encountered problem as we unable to lock our door. We suspect the battery life might running low so we open up the casing and replace a new battery but the lock still not working. On the next day the guy come and open up the battery cover and said we have put the battery on wrong slot, it have 4 slots there and we should put on left and right slot and not the two slots in the middle. I told him that we follow exactly how the battery were place initially and never act smart to put in other slot as the manual all in korean which doesn't help at all. I suspect when he did installation of the lock for us he have test out the lock by changing it to wrong slot and forget to put it back to the correct slot so it cause us though it was the correct slot to replace new battery on it. The most worse part is .. This 10 mins work of helping us to move the battery to correct slot cost us $80 dollars. Is totally from what is stated on their warranty that this $80 dollars is cover replacement of parts.
