EX-RSAF ENGINEERS CHARGED WITH CORRUPTION, OWNSELF CONTRACT OWNSELF

Two former RSAF engineers were charged with corruption by CPIB. Rajkumar Padmanathan face up to 251 charges for recommending his own firm to RSAF for maintenance works. He did not tell his employers he actually owned a firm and was also related to a few other companies the RSAF contracted. Another former engineer, Sung Way Xiong, was charged for accepting a sum of money from Rajkumar in exchange for restricted pricing information.

Singapore Courts: CHC finance manager must defend case in court

Sharon Tan, one of the City Harvest Church leaders on trial, will still have to defend her case in court. This follows the State Court’s dismissal of an application made by her lawyer, Mr Kannan Ramesh, to refer two questions of law to the High Court. The application was in relation to three counts of criminal breach of trust, in which Tan is accused of engaging in a conspiracy with other church leaders, Tan Ye Peng, Chew Eng Han and Serina Wee, to misappropriate church funds amounting to around S$26 million.
