GOVT INFLATING CONSULTATION FEES TO MAKE MEDICAL SUBSIDIES LOOK GOOD?

The consultation fee for a neighbourhood private doctor is usually between $20-$30. Public polyclinic is supposed to be cheaper than private clinics. How in the world can a public medical service be much expensive? It's either the authorities are inflating the consultation fee and then makes it look like the gov is heavily subsidizing our medical cost or our doctors working at polyclinics are being paid super scale salary that rival the private sectors. I know the latter isn't true.

PIONEER GENERATION CARD IS OVERHYPED, IT ONLY SAVED MY MOTHER $3.20 IN MEDICAL FEES

Pap gov even did a tranny tv ad to praise the PG card everyday. I thought it really will help the pioneer generation cope with the medical cost. But when I saw my mum’s medical bill for her regular checkup at poly clinic, I realize the card is overhyped. Her medical bill is around $76. The PG card only gives her a miserable discount of $3.20, less than 5% discount. My mum told me the pg card only cover the consultation fee, not the prescription. So it is not a wonder card as what pinky had mentioned in the ndp rally.
