THREE SINGAPOREAN CAUGHT TRAFFICKING 3.5KG OF HEROIN

Three Singaporeans have been arrested by the CNB for drug trafficking, in a raid conducted at a Joo Chiat apartment by the CNB. The officers arrested the three Singaporeans, two men aged 43 and 44, and a 39-year-old woman from the apartment located at Ceylon Road.

CNB reported that a total of 3.5kg of heroin, 160g of Ice, 44g of cannabis, a small amount of Erimin-5 and ecstacy tablets, and a bottle of methadone were seized at the apartment. All the drugs have a combined street value of about S$265,270. CNB are still carrying out investigations against the alleged drug traffickers.

PRESIDENT REJECTS DRUG COURIER'S CLEMENCY, CONDEMNS HIM TO DEATH PENALTY

Muhammad Ridzuan bin Md Ali's ("Ridzuan") petition to the President for clemency has been rejected and he is scheduled to be executed this Friday. Ridzuan was convicted with one Abdul Haleem for jointly trafficking in heroin. Both Ridzuan and Abdul Haleem were found to be mere couriers under section 33B of the Misuse of Drugs Act.

13 FOREIGNERS ARRESTED FOR VICE ACTIVITIES @ KAKI BUKIT FORESTED AREA

13 foreigners, 10 men and 3 women, have been arrested yesterday for alleged vice activities in a forested area in Kaki Bukit. The Central Narcotics Bureau and the Singapore Police Force Bedok Division launched the joint operation at 7PM yesterday after receiving reports on criminal activities in the forest.

CNB SAID STRAWBERRY DRUG ADVISORY WAS A HOAX

The Central Narcotics Bureau (CNB) just issued a statement that the advisory that was spreading online over the weekend regarding a drug known as “strawberry quick”, which is said to taste like pop rock candy and is targeted at children, is a hoax.

CNB stated that they had not come across any cases of such drugs in Singapore in recent years, and that CNB had not issued any advisory on the drugs. Still, CNB urged parents to remind their children about the dangers of drugs.

CNB RELEASED ADVISORY AFTER ASS WEBSITE EXPOSED SCAMMER POSING AS CNB OFFICER

It has come to the attention of the Central Narcotics Bureau (CNB) that some person/s had been impersonating a CNB officer and had messaged others via WhatsApp messages, informing them that they ‘have cases with CNB’ and attempting to request for money. CNB would like to advise the public that CNB officers are not allowed to request for any favours in money or in kind, nor to threaten any person to provide monetary favours in order to ‘facilitate a case’.

SDP CHAIRMAN ARRESTED FOR DRUG OFFENCES

SDP Chairman Jeffrey George has been arrested for drug related offences by the Central Narcotics Bureau. Jeffrey George was elected to be the chairman of the SDP in October 2013 and served as the election agent for party Secretary-General Dr Chee Soon Juan and Vice-Chairman John Tan at the last General Elections in September 2015.
