i come across this cleaner today at westmall. at first i mind my own business and do things, but suddenly i notice this disgusting act. this cleaner who is cleaning the toilet bowls came out from a cubicle after washing it, so she is holding this brush. i thought maybe she going put back the brush and do other thing but then she use the same f**king brush to wash the hand sinks

As Chairman of the Town Council, it's important for me to understand what's happening on the ground, see where the gaps are and where we can improve. It is also important for me to understand the difficulties our cleaners face. And so the best way to understand is to experience it first-hand, which I did today. It was a physically exhausting experience but I also experienced something beautiful. I experienced how Hanif was clearly well-loved by the community and how he is so full of smiles. Residents smiled at him too, waved (from their houses, motorcycles, cars etc), shook hands, chatted, laughed, it was beautiful to see.

I was have a bad tummy ache and realize there is no toilet paper in the cubicle. As I was so urgent and came out and saw a few rolls of paper on a trolley unattended, so I took a roll and went back in to clear my bowel. As I open the door a PRC toilet cleaner started screaming at me at the top of his voice, toilet was crowded.

Today a PRC office lady who works in my building asked me to lend her money. I know her quite well from chatting with her over the last few weeks when she first joined. Seems like her family is not well to do and she has a brother who needs to go to university but her family doesn't have enough money. She say she asking as friend and wants $2000 and says she will return. I replied her and asked if I hungry, will she feed me if I hungry? She replied that she can sleep with me for free.

If there is an area that suffers from overcrowding in Singapore, it would be the ivory tower where most of our ministers will be seated comfortably in their immaculately pressed white sleeved shirt and pants, and shoes that shine so bright you can see your reflection. It does not take a genius to make a difference to poverty issues on the ground, and yet, many turn a blind eye to it. Why? One word: LAZY.
