CHC: THANK YOU KONG HEE, WE'RE PURER AND STRONGER THAN BEFORE

28 years ago, CHC began with God's call to one man, who led a group of 20 youth who didn't know much or have much, but whose hearts were so full. 28 years later, we're still growing as a church, and we are purer and stronger than ever before.

Thank you pioneers of City Harvest Church, and especially Pastor Kong Hee and Sun Ho, for courageously heeding the call of God upon your lives. We will continue to build what God has started, and is still doing through you. Let's keep praying for the five and their families. Let's keep loving God wholeheartedly, loving people fervently, and continue to live by the "Divine Priority" of seeking God's kingdom first!

THIS IS WHAT LIFE WILL BE LIKE FOR CHC LEADERS IN SG PRISON

Regular meals, family visits, prescribed television and reading hours, work out exercises, Christian counselling group sessions and even a possibility of remission for up to ⅓ of their sentences. These are some of the perks that the five City Harvest Church (CHC) leaders who began serving their jail sentences last week can look forward during their days in Changi Prison.

CHC MEMBER: KONG HEE WILL EMERGE A STRONGER PERSON, WRONG TO PUT HIM TO THE TEST

City Harvest Church member believes that the devil is making a mistake by putting Kong Hee to the test. She thinks he will only emerge a better person through this ordeal and is already looking forward to the great plans that God will exercise through him.

"Pastor kong I believe the day when u are out, u will be even a better pastor and God's glory will be even more glorious upon u..more revelation and deeper understanding of God you will find. I believe the devil will realised by then that it is making a big mistake by putting u to this coz u become stronger, wiser n deeper with God Yes,it is not over yet coz deeper works of God n greater things will be seen in this lifetime from our God through you!"

Not even one day in jail and already waiting for him to come out? Dedicated siol!

CHC TELLS MEMBERS TO CEASELESSLY PRAY FOR KONG HEE'S SAFETY & PROTECTION

City Harvest Church has released a statement telling members to ceaselessly pray for the safety and protection of their leaders. The church's executive pastors, Aries Zulkarnain and Bobby Chaw, also reminded them to continue serving God while remaining faithful in the things they are called to do.

"Today, Pastor Kong, Pastor Tan, Sharon, Serina and John will start serving their sentences (Friday, April 21, 2017).

We will not see them for a season, but we must continue to uphold them in prayer. We pray for their safety and protection, and we pray that the presence of God is with them at all times.

Let’s also pray ceaselessly for their families, that through this period, God’s peace will fill them and His protection and grace will be upon them.

Church, in this time, let’s not forget Romans 12:12, which tells us to rejoice in hope, [be] patient in tribulation, continuing steadfastly in prayer.

Let us continue to love God wholeheartedly and love people fervently. Being faithful in the things we are called to do: come to service, attend cell group, serve in the House of God, reach out to the lost, pray and fellowship together.

See you in church this weekend."

ALMIGHTY PASTOR KONG HEE TO SERVE JAIL TERM FROM TODAY

City Harvest Church's pastor Kong Hee surrendered at the State Courts and will start serving his jail term today. His sentence was significantly reduced from the original 8 years to 3 and a half years.

All the other church leaders, except Chew Eng Han, will also serve their sentences today. Their jail terms (after huge discounts) range from 7 months to slightly more than 3 years. They were convicted of misappropriating $50million in church funds, the largest amount misappropriated in Singapore.

The trial is also one of the longest-running criminal cases here and they are finally going to prison. As for Chew Eng Han, he will be bringing the case to the apex court and given time to prepare his own defence.

#GodBlessKongHee Time for a new cell group in Changi?

CHC MEMBERS WHO SAY KONG HEE NOT WRONG COMMIT AN EVEN GREATER CRIME

City Harvest Church - the court case looks to drag again and as their sentences get halved and then the government seeks to reinstate the original sentence. (which is very rare as far as I know). To me, the worst people are not the people standing in courts. Not Kong Hee. Not his wife, Sun Ho. Not Serine Wee. Not Tan Ye Peng. Not Chew Eng Han. Not Sharon Tan. Not John Lam.

The trial of the 6 City Harvest Church (CHC) leaders may not be Singapore's longest running trial, but it is the most expensive trial in the country's history. According to a senior lawyer, Foo Cheow Ming, each of the defendants may have to fork out at least $1 million more as the Attorney General's Chambers (AGC) has referred the case to the Court of Appeal.
