This increase is for the period from 1 Feb to 30 April, and the increase is due to the increase in oil prices. Not so long ago, Singaporeans were told that most salary will remain the same, and not to expect any major increase. But other things around us will increase. CITY GAS TO LOWER HOME GAS PRICES FOR 3 MONTHS

The gas tariff for households using City Gas will decrease by 0.1 per cent from next month until the end of October. City Gas, which supplies town gas to almost 90 per cent of residents living in new Housing Development Board estates and private properties, said that the gas tariff for households will decrease from 21.08 cents per kilowatt hour (kWh) to 21.06 cents per kWh.

0.8% CHEAPER GAS FOR HALF OF SINGAPORE HOUSEHOLD FROM FEBRUAY

Households using City Gas will pay less for their town gas from Feb 1 until Apr 30. City Gas, which pipes town gas to half the homes in Singapore, said on Sunday that gas prices will be lowered by 0.8 per cent over the period. Gas tariffs for households will be 21.01 cents per kilowatt hour, compared to 21.18 cents previously, excluding 7 per cent GST.
