CHRISTIANS BEHIND THE PRO-FAMILY MOVEMENT ARE DAMN HYPOCRITES

I'm still waiting for Christians in Singapore to show equal passion for protecting "the family" from the sins of adultery, divorce, and premarital sex as they are doing for homosexuality. It's disgusting to see the callous comments by some Christians about "the gay" when they have been so silent on worse vices. Divorce and adultery have destroyed countless families and is explicitly denounced by Jesus. What is FCBC doing about the increasing normalisation of divorce and adultery?

FCBC Family-themed Church Service Draws 6,000 Worshippers Wearing White

Referring to the ongoing debate over homosexuality, Mr Khong said that he was not pushing a religious agenda but taking a stand on a social and moral issue. Adding that he is doing this out of his love for Singapore and the generations to come, he said that he was “confounded” at being described as confrontational. The Pink Dot event in support of the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) community that took place yesterday, he noted, was a "political gathering with a political agenda to change the law of our land".

NCCS: ACT WITH GRACE & RESTRAINT WHEN ENGAGING LGBT COMMUNITY

The National Council of Churches of Singapore (NCCS) has issued a statement after a wave of controversy erupted in the wake of the Wear White campaign launched by an Islamic religious teacher against the lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) movement. Reiterating the Christian view that “homosexual or bi-sexual practices are contrary to the teaching of the Bible”, the NCCS added that it “does not condemn those who are struggling with their gender identity and sexual orientation”. It also urged members of the Christian community to “always act with grace and restraint should they engage with the LGBT community over the coming (Pink Dot rally) event”.

Pastor Lawrence Khong Supports Muslim #WearWhite Movement

I’m so happy that Singapore’s Muslim community is making a vocal and visual stand for morality and Family. I fully support the ‘wear white’ campaign. FCBC, together with the LoveSingapore network of churches, will follow suit on the weekend of 28 and 29 June, island-wide. I look forward to celebrating the Family with the Muslim community and I am pleased to partner with them in championing virtue and purity for the good of our nation!

Singapore Courts: CHC finance manager must defend case in court

Sharon Tan, one of the City Harvest Church leaders on trial, will still have to defend her case in court. This follows the State Court’s dismissal of an application made by her lawyer, Mr Kannan Ramesh, to refer two questions of law to the High Court. The application was in relation to three counts of criminal breach of trust, in which Tan is accused of engaging in a conspiracy with other church leaders, Tan Ye Peng, Chew Eng Han and Serina Wee, to misappropriate church funds amounting to around S$26 million.

An Inclusive Society

I was quite shocked to learn that there are still Singaporeans who think it’s okay to publicly and openly discriminate against a minority group. I know this isn’t surprising to many out there, but I’ve been extremely sheltered for most of my life — I went to a convent school and the culture was incredibly inclusive. In fact, almost all my friends are from different races/religions/sexual orientations. Festive celebrations in my home might as well be a successful and happy initiative for a racial harmony campaign.

Magician cum pastor Lawrence Khong says HPB self-pawn govt pro-family policies

We disagree with the claim that moral objection to homosexual behaviour is based on "irrational fear, disgust, or hatred" of homosexuals or bisexuals because they "do not conform to traditional sexual roles and stereotypes". Far from it. Moral objection is based on the intrinsic physiological nature of the male and female bodies. We do not despise homosexuals or hold them in contempt. We esteem them as fellow human beings of intrinsic worth. Each one is precious, deserving respect and love, just like anyone else.
