PCF CHILDCARE FEE INCREASE DESPITE 24.7% INCREASE IN PROFITS?

According to the PCF’s 2014 Financial Statement – its surplus for the year increased from $942,861 (Jan 1 to Dec 31 2013) to $1,469.575 (Jan 1 2014 to Mar 31 2015). This is an increase of 24.7 per cent ($1,175,660 divided by $942,861) compared to the previous year. With such a huge increase in the surplus (profits) – is the across the board increase in fees justified?

CHILDCARE FEES UP BY 20% DUE TO EVER RISING RENTAL COST

With two younger children requiring full-day childcare services, it will cost Mr Wong, 40, who is working in the financial sector, more than $2,000 per month next year. He feels that it is financially unbearable. Currently, two of his children are under the care of KiddiWinkie childcare centre, at $840 per month each. DESPERATE SINGAPOREAN PARENTS QUEUE OVERNIGHT HOPING FOR PLACE AT ETONHOUSE CHILDCARE

Childcare firm EtonHouse International has been told to "thoroughly review" its registration process, after more than 100 people queued for a place at its new Punggol centre a day before registration opened. People started queuing as early as 10am the day before registration opened at 9am yesterday. By 11pm on Friday, the line had stretched to about 130 people, who brought along chairs, water and extension cords for charging their phones.
