Singapore Democratic Party's Chee Soon Juan penned an opinion piece on what he thinks is a "delusional world" of the Elected Presidency. He outlined Mr Ong Teng Cheong's efforts to check on the government (but to no avail), and how candidates after him have to be "approved by the government".

Singapore Democratic Party's Chee Soon Juan lashed out at Lawrence Wong for wanting to develop the country's infrastructure in the next decade. He seems skeptical that it will work as he thinks they lack a sustainable plan and are "bankrupt of ideas".

SDP has written to President Tony Tan in asking him to revoke AG Lucien Wong's appointment. This is in light of the AGC's reply that it will not look into allegations of abuse of power by PM Lee. It described this as hypocritical given that the AGC wants to look into Li Shengwu's private Facebook posting.

The words employed are, or at least should be by PM Lee's own assessment, defamatory of him and the present government. That the PM seems unenthusiastic on the legal front is telling.

I note that a video where Mr Donald Low gave a talk at a forum organised by the FOSG (Future of Singapore) was removed this morning. Mr Low had spoken about Singapore's economic growth model. This comes at a time when the LKYSPP academic had a run-in with Mr K Shanmugam and had to apologise. The strange thing is that Low's talk had nothing to do with the Shanmugam problem (it took place on 18 March). It was a legitimate discussion of what confronts our economy and our nation. Yet, it was removed.
