73 Y.O. WOMAN HANDCUFFED & SENT TO PRISON OVER TOWN COUNCIL RELATED OFFENCE

A 73 year old woman was handcuffed and sent to Changi Women's Prison this morning for remand after she showed up at an Ang Mo Kio South Neighborhood Police Post (NPP) to report a lost pawn shop ticket. According to her daughter, who wrote to newspapers, her mother was arrested on charges of failing to appear for a court hearing on a town council related matter in 2015.

I know I expressed reluctance to go on interviews before, but I had always liked and wanted to experience the dynamic of an interviewer-interviewee relationship, and at that time I was in the mood, satisfied after completing my ‘A Scintillating Introduction To The Singapore elections’ video. I didn’t want to start with anyone local because it’s my first time, and I think I’d feel more comfortable knowing that someone is interviewing me not solely for the sake of digging out something bad about me, so they can portray me in the worst possible light.

LIFE BEHIND BARS IN CHANGI PRISON (PART 3)

All prisoners except for certain type of prisoners which I will elaborate on later in this thread. These prisoners are eligible for 1/3 off their sentrence for good behavior. This means that they only served 2/3 of the sentence imposed by the judge. This is also known as minus PH and weekends to some of you. This entitlement is for those who behaves themselves inside the prison while doing their time. Those who fight or misbehave will not be granted the above.

LIFE BEHIND BARS IN CHANGI PRISON (PART 1)

Once you are charged and convicted for an offence and is sentenced to a custodian sentence in prison, you will be put in the Court's lockup manned by SPF and Prison officers assisted by Certis Cisco Auxiliary officers. You will then be transported to Changi Prison in the evening in handcuffs and shackers.
