TEAM SINGAPORE BEATS ENGLAND IN WORLD DEBATE CHAMPIONSHIP IN BALI, WE ARE THE CHAMPIONS!

As a special birthday present for Singapore, the Team Singapore beat defending champions England in the World Schools Debating Championship (WSDC) on Thursday after eight out of nine judges voted in their favour.

And to make things even sweeter, this was won in Bali. Yes, the Indonesian resort island, where the little red dot, first called that by an Indoensian former president, reigned supreme.

SINGAPORE BEATS SRI LANKA TO BECOME ASIAN NETBALL CHAMPIONS

Singapore maintained its supremacy in Asian netball after beating Sri Lanka 59-41 in the Asian Netball Championships final on Sunday (Sep 14) held at the Singapore Sports Hub's OCBC Arena. It was like a rerun of the 2012 final, with four-time champion Sri Lanka eager to avenge its defeat to Singapore. Led by their towering goalshooter Tharjini Sivalingam, who stands at 2.07m tall, the visitors started strongly and dominated the first quarter.
