SPORTS HUB CEO RESIGNS, SAYS ALLEGATIONS AGAINST HIM FALSE & MISCHIEVOUS

The CEO of SportsHub Pte Ltd (SHPL), Manu Sawhney, who managed the Singapore Sports Hub, announced his resignation today, which takes effect immediately. His resignation comes after an anonymous complaint sent to he SHPL regarding allegations of Mr Sawhney's poor treatment of staff.

DID ST GET SURBANA EMPLOYEE NUMBERS WRONG, OR IS SURBANA BEING EVASIVE?

I refer to the article “Surbana CEO defends axing ‘poor performers’” (Straits Times, Jan 19). It states that “”We cannot allow our 1 per cent of poor performers to continue to affect the rest of the 99 per cent of staff who are performing.”

SMRT: NORTH-SOUTH & EAST-WEST LINE HAD BEST RECORDED PERFORMANCE IN THEIR 29Y HISTORY

At the first Singapore Rail Technology Conference, SMRT chief executive officer Desmond Kuek said that the North-South and East-West MRT lines achieved 144,000 train-km before breakdown last month (October); the best recorded performance in the 29-year history of the two lines.

Since the inception of the Circle Line, it has clocked 233,000 train-km before breakdown of more than 5 minutes.

NKF CEO EDMUND KWOK SACKED OVER "PERSONAL INDISCRETION" - NOTHING TO DO WITH FINANCES

In a media statement, the National Kidney Foundation (NKF) announced on Wednesday (Nov 16) that it has sacked CEO Edmund Kwok.

"The board of NKF would like to assure all stakeholders, including patients, donors, supporters and employees, that Mr Kwok's personal indiscretion has nothing to do with the stewardship of our finances. Our operations are not affected by this matter and our services to patients and beneficiaries continue as per normal."

The article "Citi Singapore's next boss 'could be Singaporean'" was published in Nov 24 2015, before the 2016 election probably to give a green picture that Singaporeans are in good position. But after the 2016 election result, what happened now? Another Indian to run the top position in Citi Singapore???!!!

SG JOB ADVERT FOR PERSONAL ASSISTANT TO CEO, PAYS $7,000 MONTHLY SALARY

Times are bad, so I thought of sharing an interesting job ad ("Personal Assistant to CEO") with my fellow Singaporeans. According to the ad, if you have a Diploma you may earn up to $7k/month as a Personal Assistant (PA). No wonder MIW says its not necessary to have a degree.

Singapore Government linked official can get away with losing hundreds of millions dollars in a GLC but continues to be awarded million dollar renumeration! It was reported in ST recently ("Bonuses of SembMarine execs hit by downturn") that SembMarine CEO Wong Weng Sun can still earn a renumeration of almost $2 million (salary of $926,000 with share-based compensation of $863,000) when the GLC he helmed lost $289.7 million!!
