GE2020: PAP Candidate Ivan Lim Called Out as Elitist

A Singaporean has exposed PAP new candidate Ivan Lim Shaw Chuan, the GM of Keppel Offshore & Marine as an elitist who was never well liked by his battalion when he was CO because of his condescending attitude. He apparently had a habit of boasting about his personal achievements and drove around camp in expensive cars. Just like many PAP members sitting in their ivory towers, it is unfathomable how such politicians can empathise with ordinary citizens and be their voice in parliament.

PAP MPS ON WALKABOUTS BYPASS HOMES OF QUESTIONING RESIDENTS AND LEAVES FLIERS ON DOORS INSTEAD

During the last GE in September 2015, i was at my parents place on a saturday when the door bell rang. Standing there was 2 RC/PAP staff with the lightning logo on their tee shirt. She "instructed" me to stay at home bcos the mp is coming by to give me some stuff. So naturally, i asked her give out what. She murmured something which i couldnt really understand. i went "huh?" Then she impatiently said, "walkabout la, you dont know what is walkabout ah?" The other person beside her immediately said something like "this one don't waste time". After more than 3 hours of waiting, nobody came by. I decided to then close the front door when I realized somebody left something on my gate. It had a beautiful photo of the smiley MP in the front and read something like "we were here earlier today but nobody was at home..", written in 4 different languages. I couldn't be bothered to read the rest of the content.

This morning I read about Ng Eng Heng declaring that PAP will be unveiling their candidates starting tomorrow. Honestly speaking, I am quite shocked. Traditionally, PAP has only announced their candidates on nomination day. What then has prompted this sudden change? Afterall, even they know that this it is goint to be a watershed election.
