GRAB RIDER SHOCKED THAT PRIVACY INVADING INWARD CAMERAS ARE ALLOWED BY GRAB

On 21st June 2017, at about 4.35 pm, I booked a Grab share car from Sengkang to Punggol. I was picked up first, followed by the next passenger, a lady. On the way to my drop off point, i looked up above and saw a video recording camera located at the top left hand corner of the vehicle facing in the direction of the customers.

MSIAN MAN RECORDS UPSKIRT VIDEO WITH CAMERA HIDDEN IN SHOE

A Malaysian man was caught for red-handed for recording an upskirt video using a camera hidden in his shoe. The spy camera was said to be as small as a nail head and was connected to his smartphone as he recorded the footage. He reportedly works in a government-linked company in Malaysia.

The woman he targeted was initially unaware that she was being recorded. She was alerted only after some bystanders realised what the man was up to and they proceeded to beat him up.

Kudos to the helpful passer bys who stood up for the woman! #Kampungspirit

$100 REWARD FOR RETURN OF LOST CAMERA PHONE WITH BABY PHOTOS

I am writing to you seeking help on a lost mobile phone, considering the vast audience “All Singapore stuff” has as one of the most popular local news outlet. OPTICAL ILLUSION OF MEN WORKING ON MRT TRACK

At first glance, the photo is a common sight for many Singaporeans - men working under an MRT track. But look closer and you might notice something mind-boggling. The optical illusion posted by Reddit user zibin has reached its front page, and caused much confusion on the user-generated website. Two men are seen standing on a construction lift but the weird angle of the photo makes it seem like the track is low or the machine is going to topple over.

IS THIS LTA'S LATEST BUDGET SURVEILLANCE CAMERA TO CATCH RULEBREAKERS?

My friend just parked his vehicle when he saw a very strange box placed by the kerb. Feeling curious, he went to have a closer look and was shocked to see that it is infrared surveillance camera retrofitted into a plastic box. It looks poorly made and ridiculous. Is this LTA's latest budget camera meant to catch errant drivers who park illegally?

DRIVERS BEWARE! TRAFFIC POLICE BIKES HAVE CAMERAS HIDDEN ON THE FRONT & BACK

I like to bring to your attention something that I noticed when I was on the roads. If you look closely at the bikes ridden by Traffic Police, they have CCTV cameras attached in the front and at the back of the bike. So along the way if the CCTV catch anyone speeding or using handphone, they will still be able to saman the driver even though the TP may not see it with his own eyes.

SPY CAMERA FOUND IN A'FAMOSA MALACCA RESORT BATHROOM

My Malaysian girlfriend shared this terrible incident which happened at Melaka's A'Famosa Resort. She found a pin hole camera in her resort bathroom recording her every action. When she visited the resort, she noticed a weird looking hook by the side of the bathroom room. As the colour of the hook did not match the colour combination of the bathroom, she though it was strange and took a closer look at it. She was shocked when she saw the little pin hole camera lens at the top portion of the clothes hook. She pulled the hook off the wall and her suspicion was confirmed.

Policemen to wear body cameras - Good Idea. What about Interrogations, Investigations and Interviews?

I think this is an excellent idea. I had previously wondered why we weren't following certain police forces elsewhere, which have cameras mounted on the police vehicles dashboards to record activities whilst patrolling or stopping cars and persons. This measure goes 1 better, instead of just in a car which can only record from 1 angle (the front) and on a road, a body camera can capture and record activity anywhere. I'm sure we have a law that forbids people from recording or sharing their recordings of policemen in the execution of their duty. Or the police can seize such recordings on the pretext it interferes or compromises their investigations. So to resolve this in an ever increasing digital world, a video recording by a policemen will help, provided protocols are in place to prevent their tampering, if and when it becomes necessary to view it.
