MALAYSIA: CADBURY CHOCOLATES HERE CONTAIN NO PORK

Cadbury chocolates sold in Malaysia have been cleared of containing pork. New tests conducted by Malaysian authorities found that chocolate bars made by the British confectioner do not contain pig DNA, contrary to a previous finding, the country’s Islamic affairs agency said on Monday. Cadbury withdrew two types of chocolate bars from sale in Muslim-majority Malaysia last week after government tests found traces of pork in them, leading some Islamic groups to call for a boycott on all of its products.

CHOCOLATES IN MALAYSIA CONTAIN PORK

Two Cadbury chocolate samples namely Cadbury Dairy Milk Hazelnut and Cadbury Dairy Milk Roast Almond were detected to have contained pig DNA (porcine). The pig DNA was detected by the Health Ministry in the sample of Cadbury Dairy Milk Hazelnut with batch number of 200813M01H I2 and expiry date of Nov 13, 2014; and in the sample of Cadbury Dairy Milk Roast Almond with batch number 221013N01R I1 and expiry date of Jan 15, 2015.
