81 year old Lee Hak Ngee was going home from his eldercare centre when an SBS bus slammed its doors on him. The incident caused him excruciating pain which he described as a "knife slicing him". His middle and ring fingers were injured because of this.
Mr Lee was waiting for the passenger in front of him to board bus 113 when the doors shut and injured him. It was only when he shouted that the bus captain noticed and opened the doors.
The driver did not apologise or rush to help the old man. Instead, he only told him to see the doctor and give him a call afterwards. Mr Lee had no choice but to tap his ezlink and sit down again.
Mr Lee is a heart patient who also suffers from diabetes. Even if he was not a patient, surely the bus captain could have helped him and not leave him in the lurch?
