LTA REMINDS US THAT DEEPAVALI IS MORE IMPORTANT THAN HALLOWEEN

The Land Transport Authority (LTA) once again looks to delight fellow Singaporeans who celebrate the occasion with a gorgeous visual feast of decorated MRT trains, which run on the North East Line and Downtown Line. So, if trains breakdown again, you can always look at the nice Deepavali decorations and enjoy them, while waiting for the trains to move again.

BUS MOUNTED KERB OUTSIDE BEDOK INTERCHANGE, ONE WOMAN UNDER BUS

Saw an accident at Bedok Bus interchange today. The bus, which was returning back to the interchange, mounted the kerb and unfortunately, hit two pedestrians who were waiting at the traffic junction to cross the road.

According to people who were there at the time of the accident, the victims were two women pedestrians. One woman appeared injured and was down beside the bus, while another woman was actually under the bus. The woman who was at the pavement beside the bus appeared hurt, and some say she might have injured both her legs. The woman under the bus was apparently still responsive when ambulance and SCDF came.

MORE PEOPLE UNHAPPY WITH MRT SERVICES ACCORDING TO SURVEY DONE

In news that surprised no one, commuters' satisfaction with the MRT services fell sharply around the time the signalling test began during weekdays back in May.

The same study also revealed that commuters were far happier with bus and taxi services, and even the often broken down Bukit Panjang LRT line. This was a mighty embarrassment for the MRT system, and in particular Minister Khaw. He has kept on insisting that rail line reliability have been improving under his watch.
