today, germaine and I went to Macdonalds Drive-thru Ang Mo Kio to takeaway some food. we were minding our own business, and we were holding hands and hugging. it was the long weekend, we were happy, and we weren't doing anything that a normal hetero couple wouldn't do in a public setting. after placing our order with a cashier called Gladys, she eyed us and asked very intrusively with a tone mixed with condescension and disgust: 'are y'all lesbian?'

I was in primary 1. This Indian girl sat beside me. After awhile, she became more aggressive and hit me, and it got worse, till the point where she would lock me in the toilet everyday. With one more of her friend, they would hit and push me around. Once, my knee got hit onto the toilet bowl, and once, she pushed my head down to the toilet bowl seat and told me to lick the toilet bowl seat.

I am a mother of 3 school going children. I am appalled at the school bully video but I am more disturbed by MOE's response to the incident. MOE say that the students involved have been counselled and advised on boundaries. In other words, MOE is telling us parents nothing is going to happen to the bully. Is this the right kind of message we are sending to bullies these days? Is this the new style of parenting? Mollycoddling our young and shielding them from justified punishment and to teach them about taking responsibility for their actions?

In a viral video contributed to All Singapore Stuff by Nehnehtong Blackshot, a student from Shuqun Secondary School was seen monkeying around the classroom with loud music blasting in the background. What was more shocking was the rowdy student's bullying actions towards his fellow classmates who were minding their own business and seated quietly at their desk.

At the same time, I am curious about the part where the ang moh and Mr Elfy alighted at the Ang Mo Kio Station (ironic?) and approached some Special Operations Command police officers. Why didn't the police arrest the ang moh man for threatening the safety of other passengers? And why did they refuse to look at the video footage that Mr Elfy and his girlfriend recorded? Obviously the ang moh man was a threat, so why didn't they put him aside for a while? Instead, they let the still angry ang moh board the same train as Mr Elfy and his girlfriend? What if the ang moh man tried to beat up Mr Elfy and his girlfriend? Did the police even think of that before they decided to let him go free?

Don’t worry, readers. Let this Singh tekan Roy until Roy breaks down again and again and then the court award damages totaling a few hundred thousand to PM. Davinder thinks that he is able to show his debating prowess on Roy but nobody will admire him for “tekaning” a defenseless blogger who is not even trained in Law.
