Covid19: Seniors Gather Daily For Freebies At Petir Road Despite Circuit Breaker

Covid19: Seniors Gather Daily For Freebies At Petir Road Despite Circuit Breaker

Between 7-9am between Blocks 137 and 139 Petir Road in Bukit Panjang, several older residents gather daily to collect free food in boxes and free fresh produce from a silver van (unverified license plate was provided). They have been doing this for years, even before Circuit Breaker (CB). Some have started wearing masks as of 20 April 2020, but many continue not to do so. As you can see, this can so easily become a cluster if just one person among these seniors is an asymptomatic carrier of Covid19.

LTA ANNOUNCE DELAY TO BUKIT PANJANG UNDERPASS, 2 YRS AFTER SCHEDULED COMPLETION

However, the underpass, which was originally scheduled to open together with Downtown Line 2 in December 2015, have now had its opening delayed to the end of this year. An LTA spokesman said that the construction took longer than planned "due to extensive underground utilities and difficult ground conditions, such as the presence of high rock levels". The hard rocks in the path of the construction meant that some blasting had to be carried out.

This is LTA cocking up. weren't they supposed to do ground checks before works started? And by doing the checks, won't they find the hard rocks present on the ground? The rocks did not become hard overnight that it now requires blasting. Now, this delay is actually taking two years, and only now LTA is announcing this.

AVA FAILED TO CATCH SEGAR RD MONKEY FOR 2 WKS, INSTALLS CCTV INSTEAD

Five new CCTV cameras were set up in Bukit Panjang in order to help catch the troublemaking monkey. AVA said the cameras will allow them to better understand the monkey's movements and plan more effective operations.

There are around 160 reports of monkey attacks but AVA and ACRES are still trying to catch the monkey. They have no choice but to install CCTV after failing to catch one monkey for the past two weeks.

The attacks are believed to be by a single monkey which has occasionally popped by nearby schools and stole students' lunchboxes.

Do you think this is effective?
