PAP’S CLARIFICATION ABT VOLUNTEER’S REMARK SHOWS THEIR CHRONIC STUPIDITY

Nobody knows who is telling the truth. But this incident presents us with another example of the chronic stupidity of PAP MPs. If Ridhuan were to say "PAP supporter asked me to attend their rally on the very day", then it would be clear that he is a blatant liar and must be condemned immediately. But he merely reported that the PAP supporter asked him to attend their rally. It is reasonable to expect PAP to have one last rally before polling day this Saturday. So the volunteer could very well be referring to that without spelling out the exact date. It is ok to say Ridhuan is making things up but to suggest that he is lying on the basis that there was no rally that day in the context of the sentences examined is plain ridiculous.

ANOTHER READER DEFENDS SHIRWIN EU AGAINST CRITICISMS THAT HE WAS NOT GOOD ENOUGH

It is unfair for Mr Sagar to say that one who is truly worthy and deserving can easily obtain $13,500 a month because it implies that anyone who cannot obtain $13,500 a month is unworthy and undeserving. But $13,500 is way above Singapore median income. Mr Sagar is essentially saying that only the rich in Singapore are worthy and deserving enough to contest in elections. Ordinary folks earning less than $13,500 are unworthy. That is a terrible attitude to have.
