BREADTALK SELLS STALE BUN THAT HAS GONE ‘STICKY’ BUT CLAIMS IT IS ‘FRESH’

I brought one of the sugar cake bun from the Jurong Point branch of BreadTalk on 15 Feb 2016. After removing the plastic, I felt something was amiss as the bread was exceptionally sticky and frankly just doesn't seen fresh. To my horror, I noticed that the expiry date is just tomorrow (16th Feb 2016)!! Dear BreadTalk, placing breads which has clearly passed the definition of "freshness" (and which expires in one day) is clearly a stark contradiction to a company which prides itself to serving breads that are "fresh" to consumers.

BABY COCKROACH FOUND ROAMING ON BREADTALK TRAY AND BUN

I saw a baby cockroach crawling around the trays and settled on a bun at Breadtalk simei branch. This really spoils my appetite. I think Breadtalk ought to work on their cleaniness and hygiene. Such a prestigious brand but yet u allow this cockroach to roam around the trays!

BREADTALK BRANDS ITS BREAD AS ‘FRESHLY BAKED’ BUT RE-SELLS UNSOLD STALE BREAD

My mum wanted to buy wholemeal bread but as she was having it by herself, she opted for the 5 piece version from Breadtalk. Unfortunately, there was only the 8 piece available. I thought it was late already so why not repack and sell to us instead of throwing it away. The staff's response blew me away: 'Our breads can last 4 days. We will just resell tomorrow.' Doesn't Breaktalk brands itself as freshly baked premium product? By selling the next day, the bread is already 1 day old stale. We know that breads actually changes for the worse after being left out - a day old makes a difference. Advice to all: go for Gardenia or sunshine, they baked their breads freshly daily and much cheaper than Breadtalk.
