S’PORE-BOUND SIA PLANE FROM SAN FRANCISCO TARGET OF BOMB THREAT

Singapore Airlines (SIA) flight SQ001, which flew from San Francisco and arrived in Changi Airport today afternoon, was the target of a bomb threat, says the national carrier. In a media statement issued this afternoon, SIA said that authorities are investigating the matter, but stated that except for some delays, all passengers had arrived safely in Singapore.

INDONESIAN STUDENT ARRESTED FOR BOMB THREAT AGAINST SIA

Indonesian police today announced that they had arrested a 21-year-old male student, Ilham, from a private university in Banten after he was traced for sending a bomb threat to Singapore Airlines (SIA). Ilham was arrested yesterday at his home in the Baleria housing complex in Tangerang, Banten. This comes less than a week after he sent the bomb threat to SIA on 1st July.

23-year old assisting police investigations into bomb threat made on Facebook

The Singapore Police says it has established the identity of a 23-year-old Singaporean man who is believed to be responsible for “transmitting” a “false message under Section 45(a) of the Telecommunications Act, Chapter 323.” The police was replying to a Facebook message from Mr Jason Lee who had informed the police of a Facebook posting of one Mr Caleb Rozario.
