But what has riled Singaporeans is the fact that this person, like many before him, and many more after him, seem to get all the cushy and high paying job, and see no wrong to look down of Singaporeans who have university qualifications in Singapore's world class universities, but can only dream of getting such high paying jobs in their own country.

In news that surprised no one, commuters' satisfaction with the MRT services fell sharply around the time the signalling test began during weekdays back in May. The same study also revealed that commuters were far happier with bus and taxi services, and even the often broken down Bukit Panjang LRT line. This was a mighty embarrassment for the MRT system, and in particular Minister Khaw. He has kept on insisting that rail line reliability have been improving under his watch.

Unlike Hong Kongers, Singaporean guys do not have inflated egos, thinking that they are always right. And Singaporeans do not see a small favor of helping others as a big deal until the person is indebted for the whole life. To get a Hong Konger guy to donate 10 cents is tougher than getting your CPF money. At least SG guys are more compassionate, more hardworking, less conniving, less delusional, less calculating, less mercenary, more polite than Hong Kongers. I will always choose a SG guy over a HK guy.

I am an average Singaporean girl-next-door and after being in a dating scene for a while, I realised that Singaporean guys cannot compare to Malaysian guys. Even though Singaporean guys are generally more well-groomed, they still lack the confidence to carry themselves well. They are also more sheltered, dependent and like to hide behind their mother's apron strings. Yet they are super not realistic and always hope to be together with the chio-est girl in school or work even though these girls are way beyond their league. On the other hand, Malaysian guys are more independent and can be depended on because they do not lead such a pampered life and are more resourceful in getting things done.

This is the message I got while watching the special programme on Parliament Reopens hosted by Sharon Tong. The panellists included Gerald Giam, Chan Chun Sing, Tan Su Shan and Zulkifli Baharuddin, the latter two, one an NMP and the other ex- NMP, more or less agreed that everything was improving. And at the rate they were improving, things would get better by the next GE.
