MAN CAUGHT SLASHING NATIONAL DAY BANNER, GETS JAIL TERM

According to Gunaseelan, he had just broken up with his girlfriend in July 2916, and was feeling down. On 30 July, he had drinks with another friend near Central Mall. The duo then proceeded to Liang Court, where they met another friend. Gunaseelan found a foldable knife in the toilet and kept it. Subsequently, the trio walked towards Raffles City to have supper at McDonald's. As they passed by the Treasury Building, Gunaseelan used the knife to slash a red National Day banner that was fixed to a pillar.

CATHAY STANDS BY PINK DOT, ALMOST WANTED TO SCREEN ADS IN CINEMAS

Following the commotion about Pink Dot's advertisement in Cathay Cineleisure, Cathay spokesperson's responded by standing by its decision and saying it is an inclusive company which accepts a culture of equality. Funny why some people are making a fuss over this now as Cathay has been openly supporting the cause for a few years already. It was a corporate sponsor and even wanted to screen Pink Dot's trailer in its cinemas if not for strict censorship by the Media Development Authority. The authorities have also confirmed that Pink Dot organisers are allowed to carry out their promotional activities because they already have a licence.

A brisk walk around my Neighbourhood This morning via the Parks Connector sent unequalled shock waves down my spine as I admired the various NDP banners in my daily morning routine to be ActiveSG! Today is MON 01 August 2016 and our 51st National Day is only 8 days away and yet Such SERIOUS mistake (2014 instead of 2016 ) has been publicly displayed outside Innova JC perhaps for nearly a MONTH!

NON-PARTISAN BUKIT BATOK RC PUTS UP PAP MURALI BANNER, TAKEN DOWN AFTER COMPLAINTS

The Online Citizen (TOC) was alerted by one reader on 27 April about individuals putting the banner for the PAP candidate, Mr Murali Pillai in the Bukit Batok SMC by-election, on the banner rack of the Resident Committee (RC) Zone 6 at Blk 168 Bukit Batok West Ave 8. On 28 April, questions were sent to the People's Association (PA) that governs the RC about whether is there any rules that allow the use of RC facilities for partisan purpose.
