A wild boar caused an accident on the AYE after the Tuas Checkpoint early on Thursday morning, and caused a traffic accident that sent two to hospital and killed the animal. A male motorcyclist and his female pillion rider were taken to Ng Teng Fong General Hospital, although their injuries were not revealed.

Accident was caused by an unsecured rim tyre cover from a taxi that was flung towards the rider’s vehicle, stuck to his rim, jammed his back wheel of his bike and sent him to the ground and to make it worst was when his rib was crushed by the weight of his bike’s handle bar that landed on him.

The Singapore Police announced on Tuesday that the 53 year old Mercedes driver who sped against the flow of traffic on the AYE causing multiple fatal accidents has been charged for causing death by reckless or dangerous driving. Just survived a terrible car accident and back home from the hospital. So glad that my daughter and I are okay. Although my car is in horrible wreck, we escaped unhurt with some minor abrasions, cuts and ringing in my right ear. Had hell of a shock as I tried to get out of the car, and after that frantically putting my daughter out. I was hit by a car as I was going to turning out of AYE. What the hell......

I was rush to reach office at 8 AM so that I tried to get any available taxi(with green light). He showed green light on the light box and stopped and picked me up. I told my destination and he drove out from the place. When we jammed at traffic light, he told me to get another cab as he couldn't bring me to Science Park 1 as he had to do something and he was busy. At that time, we were at traffic light (in front of Alexandra Hospital) and middle of blocked cars and forced me again on AYE road. There were no pavement to walk on highway roads. Definitely, no other taxi will be picking me up on AYE.

A massive 8 vehicle pile up early this morning caused a massive jam from Buona Vista to Yuan Ching along the Ayer Rajah Expressway this morning. The cause - a driver of a red Honda vehicle had been driving against traffic flow on the first lane of the expressway before he collided head on with a blue Comfort Delgro taxi.
