A commuter chanced upon a snake near Lakeside MRT and warned SMRT staff not to open the drain cover so as to prevent it from escaping underground, but the staff did exactly that. When authorities arrived, the snake was nowhere to be found.

ROWDY MONKEYS AT BUKIT TIMAH RAID HOUSES & STEAL COSMETICS

A Singaporean Chinese writer posted on FB about a group of rowdy monkeys who raided her house at Bukit Timah. They stole from her kitchen fruits, bread, biscuits, and would leave dirty trails in her backyard. After having a feast, they continue to loiter outside her house to frolick in the sun. AUTHORITIES MUST ACT DECISIVELY NOW TO STOP RENTAL BIKE ABUSE

Within a short period of June, there are already three cases of ofo bicycles abuse that resulted in police arrest. Two of the cases are bicycles being thrown down from high level and this might result to injury or even death if the bicycle had hit a passer-by.

There are two questions that the authorities should answer. First, are they waiting for something to happen before they do something with all this bicycles. The authorities should worked with the bicycle rented companies and come out with a proper solution. Second, why is the person, filming the 13 years old boy throwing the bicycle down, not arrested by police.

I understand that the news of the Lee family issues are indeed hot topic but this is a on going issue that the authorities should look into it. I do not wish to see anyone being hurt during any of the bicycle abuse accident.

AUTHORITIES MAY TAKE ACTION AGAINST FAMILY OF DETAINED WOMAN

Authorities may take action against a family member of the detained woman, Syaikhah Izzah Zarah Al Ansari, for destroying important evidence on her plans to join ISIS. The family member attempted to erase the evidence after she was put under investigation. This comes even though they were against ISIS and did not support her radical ideas.

The Ministry of Home Affairs said "The Government takes a serious view of the withholding of information that is pertinent to the safety and security of Singapore and Singaporeans... This is especially so if the failure to report leads to violent activities that would kill or cause harm to others".

PARENTS OF RADICALISED WOMAN MUST BE PUNISHED FOR KEEPING QUIET & DESTROYING EVIDENCE

I'm shocked that an infant care teacher was radicalised but more appalled that her parents did not inform the authorities about her! They are religious teachers and yet didn't bother to report her? The news said they also desotryed evidence to minimise her acts!

Shouldn't they be punished too? What if she did something serious? What if she influenced or harmed other people? Will they be answerable? Why didn't they seek professional help for her? She could have been guided away from the path of radicalism if they bothered to speak up. Isn't it selfish to keep quiet about something so serious?
