What is supposed to be a safe sanctuary, that of a workplace with trusted colleagues, turned into a place where one man took upskirt videos to cure his depression. More and more cases of such nature are becoming common nowadays. Maybe it is because of the ease of purchasing hard to notice spy cameras, some of which could be so tiny that it is hard to notice them. How many more of such acts are being carried out at workplaces by perverted men? We may never know.

A*STAR SCHOLAR OUYANG XIANGYU EXPELLED FROM STANFORD

An A*Star scholarship holder Ouyang Xiangyu has been kicked out of Stanford University. She is facing 4 charges of poisoning her lab mates. Stanford told The Straits Times that Ms Ouyang is "no longer a student" there. It had at first banned her from its California campus in November last year. Ouyang Xiangyu had once called the school "a paradise", according to a lab mate who spoke to the police.

27 year-old Ouyang Xiangyu is facing trial in California over 4 charges of poisoning the drinking water of her classmates at her graduate studies lab in Stanford University last year. She admitted adding a toxic chemical to more than 2 drinking bottles belonging to her lab classmates. Ouyang Xiangyu is an Agency for Science, Technology and Research (A*Star) scholar.

A*STAR OFFERING 4 YR BOND-FREE SCHOLARSHIPS TO INDIAN NATIONALS

I was looking through the scholarships portal and one particular scholarship on offer caught my eye. It is the A*STAR India Youth Scholarship which is opened only to Indian Nationals. The website only provided registration details and the list of benefits that Indian scholars would stand to gain. There was no mention of "scholars" having to serve a bond in exchange for this scholarship. If this is true, these Indian Youth Scholars would get 4 years of free education, 4 years of free allowances and many other subsidies without having to contribute back to Singapore in any way.
