S’PORE GIRL: I AM GRATEFUL TO ALL OUR S’PORE NS MEN

So I was on Tinder talking to this particular guy for a few days. Apparently he is serving the army now and is very unhappy with his situation. You can read the some of the conversation below. I feel that nowadays, too many guys are also in the same position as him and I just want to let you all know that how grateful I am. Weird? No, I'm not grateful towards your suffering. I am really grateful towards all the guys that had been, is currently or will be serving Singapore in the future. It's because of you guys, I feel safe walking around Singapore in wee hours or generally at any part of the day.

This post will also address what our servicemen undergo, the reasons for the 2 years of service and what servicemen think and feel towards NS. I reckon that the outpouring of emotions from certain insensitive comments stems from the lack of understanding of these by those who have not or do not need to serve.

“CHAN CHUN SING IS SO SMART; HE WAS EARMARKED TO BE CHIEF OF ARMY WHEN HE WAS A CAPTAIN”

Chan Chun Sing was earmarked to be Chief of Army (COA) years before he ascended to it. He is so intelligent it's rumoured his CEP was COA when he was a CPT. Chan Chun Sing and Tan Chuan Jin will most definitely become the next Defence Minister and possibly DPM. Chan is the best of the best. He is down to earth, understands how the men feel and he puts them as his priority. I was with him at the battalion level and also on division level. I have never seen such a SAFOS.
