Appreciation

IS THERE A NEED TO KOWTOW? ISN'T APPRECIATION FOR AMPLY PAID PUBLIC OFFICERS NOT ENOUGH?

The reason why I am not given to express profuse thanks to our public officers, whether deceased or not, is because so many of them, especially those at the very top, are already so amply paid.

Mr Lee Kuan Yew for one.

Mr Nathan another.

I am sure the latter, being a public servant all his life, has contributed in his own way to our nation. And we appreciate it, even if we do not feel they have done certain things we thought they should have.

THANK YOU TO PPL WHO WORK TIRELESSLY FOR SMOOTH PUBLIC TRANSPORT

People tend to take things for granted, even for the simplest things. But today, everyone mourned for the passing of 2 SMRT staff who died while on duty.

Thank you. To those working tirelessly maintaining, operating, controlling and even missed special occasions like weddings or birthdays just so that you can spent time with your family and friends.

NO MONEY LEFT IN EZ-LINK, DRIVER TOLD POOR NSF TO GET OFF THE BUS

Pity this soldier here, had no money left in his ez-link card and to my understanding was trying to negotiate with the bus driver to let him on. The bus driver told him to get off at the next stop. Not even in his Uniform did he get some appreciation for his service. Not asking to give all Ns men a free bus ride. Just appreciate and understand how much they have to go through everyday.

THANK YOU AMOS YEE FOR SPEAKING THE TRUTH

Hi Amos,Thank you for speaking up and I’m sorry to hear that you’ve been remanded. Rest assured, there are Singaporeans who strongly feel that “justice should not only be done, but should manifestly and undoubtedly be seen to be done”. And so you will see in your POSBKids account a lucky number 8888, my small contribution.
