UGLY FOREIGNERS SINGAPOREANS HATE – CAUCASIANS

There has been a lot said and written about the foreign influx in Singapore over the past few years, the majority of which have been negative. In fact some including political leaders here have labelled such remarks as xenophobic, racist or disgusting. So the question begets - Are Singaporeans Really Racist or Xenophobic?

Disgraced FT Anton Casey whitewashes online reputation by publishing self-praising articles

Briton Anton Casey, who fled to Australia in January after being slammed for denigrating public transport commuters, has made headlines again - this time on purpose. In what appears to be a bid for an online makeover, the 39-year-old is believed to have posted a video resume of himself on YouTube two weeks ago. The voice-over points to Mr Casey's "great success" as well as his "deep passion for mentoring" in the 75-second clip which consists of a series of photos, including one of Marina Bay.

Singapore’s Over-reliance on Foreigners

This blatant preference for foreign academics is even more frustrating when aspiring young academics are refused jobs at local universities and forced to pursue their academic research overseas. But this is hardly surprising since the faculty heads themselves are dominated by foreigners, who by nature are inclined to bring in their entire village of B-grade talents. This lust for foreigners not only denies opportunities to capable Singaporeans, it also dwindles our already minuscule Singaporean core within the local education system.

Anthony Shaun Casey back in Singapore to face the music?

Anthony Shaun Casey (better known as Anton Casey) – erstwhile public enemy number one – is back in Singapore, according to a reliable tip-off received by TRE. Casey left Singapore for Australia with his family under the guise of “safety for his family” despite a police report being made against him by a netizen, who like many Singaporeans, were deeply offended by his callous remarks about Singaporean train commuters and taxi-drivers.

MLC implies Anton Casey was ‘cyber-bullied’ by netizens

By making such a statement, Mrs Lim seems to imply that people like Casey and Quek have been ‘cyber-bullied’ by netizens even though the netizens may have posted comments disagreeing with what Casey and Quek did. Threatening people – whether online or offline – is a criminal offence covered by the law. Those who have threatened Casey or Quek, if any, should be dealt with by the law. But Mrs Lim should ask herself if the majority of netizens did post comments to “threaten” Casey or Quek?

Anton Casey did not commit sedition

Although Singapore has departed from this high standard and used sedition laws to regulate racially or religiously offensive speech, no court has gone as far as Mr Wang suggested. And if our courts were to apply his interpretation of sedition, many of those who commented about certain groups of people while criticising Mr Casey would have committed “sedition”. Such a wide interpretation would have serious implications for the right to freedom of speech.

The Case of Anton Casey: When the Punishment is Worse than the Crime

He did not, it should be remembered drive his silver porsche at very high speed, with the invincible belief that he could pass through a red light unharmed, or crash into an innocent taxi driver and passenger, with a young PRC female student by his side late at night unlike an earlier incident in Singapore in 2012. Nor did he leave his pregnant PRC wife to apologise to the public and try and make restitution to the families of the victims who lost a father, husband, breadwinner or beloved daughter.

SO IMPATIENT: Ang Moh chokes cabby for driving slowly

Drive before I kill you, the passenger yelled at the cabby when he thought the taxi was taking too long to move off. The driver, who wanted to be known only as Mr Yang, said that he was waiting for oncoming vehicles to pass before he could filter out but the man, a Caucasian, became impatient. The well-built man then grabbed the cabby's neck in a stranglehold, reported Lianhe Wanbao yesterday.

ANG MOHS MUST WAKE UP!

I do not blame my fellow citizens for being angry. In fact, angry is an understatement. For so long, we have allowed the foreigners to stamp on us. There is a long list as far as I can remember. From the brawl outside Suntec City to being called dogs to the racist remarks by Amy Cheng…patience has a limit. Ang Mohs must wake up. They do not rule us like they used to do during the colonial days. That is history, the past.

OUR MRT IS INDEED SMELLY

Anyway his comments were not entirely wrong, the part where he mentioned the stench on our MRT, that's true, our MRT is indeed smelly, being a regular commuter I had to endure the stench of farts, burps, sweat or strange food smells, I'm not saying I never fart nor burp nor sweat, it's just that some people do it on the train, I never fart or burp on the train, I do have the urge sometimes but
