Jobless man charged with stabbing at void deck

AN UNEMPLOYED man was charged in a district court yesterday with stabbing a 62-year-old man at the void deck of a Housing Board block in Ang Mo Kio. No plea was taken from Ong Eng Huat, 43, who allegedly stabbed Chinese national He Jinzhu five times in the back with a pair of scissors, at about 6.15am last Saturday. Ong, who was arrested that afternoon, is also believed to have attacked two other men in Yishun in the three hours following the first attack.
