I refer to the news report last month about MOM scrutinsing some 38 firms with a high proportion of foreigners employee. This is a wayang to shift the blame to the companies. MOM is the one who approves their employment passes. Shouldn’t MOM scrutinize their own past approval process? Before MOM approve these employment passes, they are supposed to check the applying firm’s present employment ratio of Singaporean employees vs employment pass holders.
