UNFAIR FOR MANPOWER MINISTRY TO BLAME COMPANIES FOR NOT HIRING S'POREANS FIRST?

I refer to the news report last month about MOM scrutinsing some 38 firms with a high proportion of foreigners employee. This is a wayang to shift the blame to the companies. MOM is the one who approves their employment passes. Shouldn’t MOM scrutinize their own past approval process? Before MOM approve these employment passes, they are supposed to check the applying firm’s present employment ratio of Singaporean employees vs employment pass holders.

SDP: STOP SPREADING FALSEHOODS ABOUT THE OPPOSITION

The recent issue of Freshgrads published the piece Why Blame the PAP?by Mr Shawn Danker who wrote: “That is exactly what the opposition loves to repeat the anti-PAP mantra: 'vote them out' instead of offering solutions to the public. They're just peddling a bunch of easy answers with no solutions. This is an extraordinary statement for Mr Danker to make given that the SDP has published a series of alternative policy papers clearly spelling out solutions to current problems.

Under her leadership, Bengawan Solo grew from a single store to a chain with over 40 outlets and a turnover of S$43 million in 2008. She took up Singapore citizenship after moving from Indonesia in 1970.

The CPF And How To Pronounce Roy Ngerng’s Surname

No I’m not going to teach you how to pro­nounce Roy’s sur­name. The title is just writ­ten in the style of Roy Ngerng’s attention-seeking blog post titles. Now that Roy has ‘been Davin­dered’ and taken down the alleged offend­ing blog post, applied to be an NMP, and raised ques­tions from dozens of my friends who are none the wiser about what hap­pens to our CPF money, I thought it might be timely to address some of the questions.
