Saw some reports in the Indonesian media about two Indonesian men who were caught trying to smuggle themselves in a tyre of a plane that was heading to Singapore. The two men were arrested at the Soekarno-Hatta International Airport before they can carry out their plans. No reasons were given as to why they were planning to hide themselves in the airplane tyre compartment to get to Singapore. I think the Singapore authorities should be on heightened alert at all checkpoints into Singapore. Just a few days ago, two men were caught trying to swim into Singapore. And now two more men caught before they can smuggle themselves into Singapore.

According to Thai media, Lion Air staff in Thailand confirmed that a Thai woman who tried to stop 2 PRC women from jumping the queue had been beaten up and injured by the 2 offenders. In the video, security guards had already separated the 3 women. However, the 2 PRC women were still aggressive and were shown chasing and throwing hits at the Thai woman. Security had to take them to the police station and transfer them to the next available flight. Lion Air also mentioned that the Thai woman was queuing for a flight scheduled at 10:00, while the 2 PRC women were scheduled for the 11:00 boarding.

I yearn for the nation to know what happened, because as Singaporeans, this breach of security is unacceptable. I am curious to know how many our citizens would feel the same way I did. This is not an angry passenger ranting about her experience, this is an aviation and aerospace specialist that is concerned about the airport safety. Please have this matter investigated because my parents and I, and my fellow Singaporeans need an explanation. We deserve an explanation.

I would like to share an incident happened on 28th October 2014 at Terminal 1 Changi Airport. It is regarding to the visit of my sister, a passenger who is holding Vietnamese Citizenship, arrived on Jetstar Asia flight 3K556 from Ho Chi Minh City to Singapore at about 12.05PM on 28/10/2014. I am a local Singaporean, and for this my family members are still in overseas and would come for visit on and off.
