AVA: EGGS SOLD AT ANG MO KIO COFFEESHOP ARE REAL

The Agri-Food and Veterinary Authority of Singapore has posted a statement on its Facebook page to clarify that the eggs sold at an Ang Mo Kio coffeeshop are real. This follows reports of a Facebook video by one user, Jerome Junior, who accused the coffeeshop of selling fake synthetic eggs from China.

POSSIBLE CAT KILLER IN YISHUN RECEIVES WARNING FROM AVA OFFICERS

The Cat Welfare Society (CWS) has reported 3 more cases of animal abuse in Yishun which occurred around the vicinity of Northland Primary School. 2 out of the 3 abused cats have died from their injuries. CWS believes that the injuries inflicted on the cats are similar to at least 3 other cases in the same area since September last year.

AVA: MAGGI NOODLES ARE SAFE FOR CONSUMPTION

Instant noodles made by the Maggi brand in India are "safe", according to the Agri-Food and Veterinary Authority of Singapore (AVA). The AVA announced their findings on tests conducted on the India-made noodles today. Last week, India's food safety regulator announced that Maggi instant noodles were "unsafe and hazardous" for human consumption after they found excessive lead and MSG levels in the noodles.
