MRTS INSTALL “GAP FILLERS” TO STOP SINKIES FROM GETTING STUCK

From the second half of this year, new trains on the North-East Line (NEL) and the Circle Line will be installed with “gap fillers”, which will reduce the space between trains and platforms, the Land Transport Authority (LTA) said on Thursday. NEL MRT DELAY CAUSED BY WOMAN WHOSE LEG GOT STUCK

A woman's leg was stuck between the platform gap at Boon Keng MRT station this morning (May 14), causing a train delay along the North East Line (NEL). The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) was alerted to the incident at 8.10am. The woman, in her 40s, was then freed by the SCDF using hydraulic rescue tools. She has been conveyed to Tan Tock Seng Hospital in a stable and conscious state, said the SCDF.

Two people were killed and three injured after a horrific accident of Final Destination proportions occurred at an amusement park in Pingyang county, Zhejiang province, according to a Weibo Post released by the press office of the local government. SMRT: BUS DRIVER WHO INJURED 88 YEAR-OLD AUNTY SUSPENDED

SMRT has issued an official response to the media today on the incident involving an 88 year-old aunty who was injured while getting off Bus 913 at Marsiling near the Woodlands Town Garden. SMRT says that the driver involved in the incident has been suspended. SMRT also apologized to the son of the aunty and will provide their assistance to the family.
