APPEAL FOR INFORMATION – HIT & RUN ACCIDENT ALONG ARAB ST & VICTORIA ST

Few days ago, my friend/colleague was hit along Victoria St and Arab St) by a speeding car. He suffered from a broken shoulder and collarbone, cracked skull, sprained spine and fractured rib while the driver still remained at large. I would never imagine a person could be so heartless to him by the road after running over him. Thank god he is on the road of recovery now and remains in a stable condition. (*touch wood) If he was fighting for his life after the hit and being left aside like this, it will be a whole different story. It is very irresponsible of this driver and his actions. How can this irresponsible driver sleep in peace. Calling for any witnesses who was around the area on 2nd June between 3-6am to provide us and the police more information for the investigation. Please help to share and let justice be served!

The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) has honoured 12 year old Ashvin Gunasegaran with the Public Spiritedness Award. Young Ashvin caught the public's eye when he rendered assistance to the drivers of the vehicles involved in a traffic accident on 31 May 2016. One of the drivers had told him that she was stuck and asked for Ashvin's help to open the door of her car. When Ashvin was asked why had he not approach an adult for help, he replied, "I don't know!! Everybody was so busy crowding around taking pictures or videos. I don't know why nobody came to help!!"

KIND 12 Y.O BOY APPROACHED DRIVER IN ACCIDENT VEHICLE COZ EVERYONE ELSE WAS BUSY TAKING PHOTOS

Ashvin, my Brother, was on his way home from remedial. To get home, he would have to normally cross a somewhat busy junction. So, the story begins when the green man turned green, & Ashvin crossed the road with his friends when suddenly, he heard a loud "BOOM" RIGHT BEHIND him. When he turned around he saw that a car crashed onto another in a middle of a junction. Without thinking twice if he could've been hit by a car or a bike, because the other vehicles were starting to get impatient & moving to another lane to get pass this stationary vehicle, Ashvin (who's only 12 btw) went to approach the driver in the car to ask if she was okay. She said that she thinks she's stuck & even asked my brother to help her open her door. So I asked him, "why didn't you ask like some adults to come help?" He was like, "Idk!! Everybody was so busy crowding around taking pictures or videos. Idk why nobody came to help!!" He also then moved over to ask the other party in the other car if she was okay when he came to learn that the other driver was pregnant & her leg was bleeding. He then ran to his friends to ask them to call the ambulance.

BEWARE OF INCORRECT LANE MARKING AT BUKIT TIMAH RD AT JUNCTION OF STEVENS RD

On Bukit Timah Rd towards Newton at the junction of Stevens Rd, the left lane goes straight and right. Right lane only turns right as it has always been. But recently, a straight line was drawn across the yellow box in the intersection. This is dangerous and incorrect because it indicates that the right lane can go straight and he left lane must go straight. This is especially bad for cyclists because they would be in the left lane to turn right on Stevens at this junction, and the cars in the right lane will go straight and this will cause an accident.

COMFORT TAXI OFFERED MEASLY $10,000 COMPENSATION AFTER KILLING MY FATHER IN RECKLESS ROAD ACCIDENT

I'm still in pain and grieving while telling you my grievance but I feel it's a necessity to let everyone know what kind of values our society is under especially towards the downtrodden and poor who are viewed with disdain in our money minded society. My late father who just passed away on Monday at CGH, had sustained serious internal injuries after a traffic accident while crossing the road at Eunos Crescent on Sunday. To rub salt in my wounds after the cremation of my late father yesterday, Comfort DelGro through ULA offered to pay me 10,000 in exchange for a rapid closure to this small case.

SG CAR WEAVES IN & OUT OF TRAFFIC, CAUSES A 4 CAR ACCIDENT

I want to share about the driver of this Singapore registered Mercedez S400, SKN8285M. He was driving in a haphazard way, weaving in and out of traffic with no regard for the safety of other road users. At the toll both near Kempas in JB, the driver veered from the left lane to the right-most lane without signaling. This caused 4 cars that were behind him to hit the brakes, resulting in multi-car rear end collisions. A driver then chased him and informed him of what he has done. Guess what was the Mercs driver reaction? "Report me to the police. I am on good terms with the police in Johor. You think... I know the law"
