DEAD ELDERLY WOMAN’S FAMILY UNABLE TO RECOGNISE HER DUE TO SEVERITY OF INJURIES

At around 9 am when the victim still had not come home, Mr Yang's father went back downstairs. This time, he walked to the accident site and told police officers that he could not find his wife. According to Mr Yang, a warehouse supervisor, investigators spoke to his father and realised the victim's name matched his wife's. They asked Mr Yang's father if he would like to identify the body, but the latter declined to do so. Investigators then handed Mr Yang's father a photo of the deceased instead. However, due to the severity of the victim's injuries, Mr Yang's father was unable to recognise his wife. As such, he told police officers that the deceased was not his wife. Mr Yang's father subsequently called him to come to the scene, but he too, was unable to identify the deceased until later.

BUS MOUNTED KERB OUTSIDE BEDOK INTERCHANGE, ONE WOMAN UNDER BUS

Saw an accident at Bedok Bus interchange today. The bus, which was returning back to the interchange, mounted the kerb and unfortunately, hit two pedestrians who were waiting at the traffic junction to cross the road. According to people who were there at the time of the accident, the victims were two women pedestrians. One woman appeared injured and was down beside the bus, while another woman was actually under the bus. The woman who was at the pavement beside the bus appeared hurt, and some say she might have injured both her legs. The woman under the bus was apparently still responsive when ambulance and SCDF came.

APPEAL FOR WITNESSES OF FATAL ACCIDENT AT DAWSON ROAD

A blue lorry was seen stopped in the middle of the road after hitting an old man which was lying on the road side. The driver shifted his lorry (before TP arrive) to give way to the traffic. I would like to appeal for any eye witness or if your car has installed with camera and you are at the scene.

MAN KNOCKED DOWN WHILE TRYING TO CROSS PIE ON FOOT

The accident occurred on Saturday morning along the PIE towards Tuas, before the Thomson exit. Chua said that he was driving to school for a test when he spotted a man walking towards his lane. He was driving at about 80kmh in the first lane, he said. "I honked him but he still continued walking and I jammed my brakes and swerved to the right, causing him to impact on the left side of my car."
