Covid19: Building Control Authority Should Disallow Payment Of Fines Using MCST Funds

Four residents were fined on 20 April 2020 for not practising safe distancing in their condominiums and a management corporation (MCST) for not closing its common facilities. However, I am concerned over the $1,000 fine imposed on the condominium in Amber Road. Who is responsible for this lapse? To allow the fine to be paid using the common MCST fund would mean that all the residents in the condominium are guilty of the offence or are they?

However, he still went ahead to publish the story with the latter's IG pictures, and even details of his family members.

COVID19: Ang Moh Roller-Skiing on Road in CBD During CB

If you recall, some time in January, a Caucasian man was seen skiing on the road in the CBD area. Netizens questioned if it posed a danger to motorists but there was no news of any warning given to him. Now, we are seeing an ang moh again in the CBD once again doing a "roller-skiing" workout, presumably due to emptier road conditions during the circuit breaker.

COVID19: Scoot Cabin Crew Seen Throwing Singapore Passport Was Doing #DontRushChallenge

A Scoot cabin crew member was seen throwing a Singapore passport at the end of a Tiktok clip she uploaded to her account a few days ago. Netizens were infuriated by her act of disrespecting the valuable Singapore passport. However, it turns out that the clip was part of a series of videos merged together in a DontRushChallenge video by cabin crew members as they are understandably bored during the circuit breaker.

Covid19: Josephine Teo Claims No Migrant Worker Has Demanded An Apology

In Parliament on 4 May, Nominated Member of Parliament (NMP) Anthea Ong asked Minister of Manpower (MOM) Josephine Teo if the government will apologise to the foreign workers for the Covid19 outbreak in many dormitories. Josephine Teo claimed "I have not come across one single migrant worker himself that has demanded an apology". Her remarks have been criticised by many netizens. There were some who felt there is no shame in apologising considering these workers have helped build many of Singapore's infrastructure. Others called out her lack of humility for thinking she did no wrong, and that an apology needs to be demanded before it can be given.

Covid19: Singapore's Obsession With Comic Superheroes

Remember the Virus Vanguard comic Covid19 superheroes? This superhero team was a collaboration between Gov.sg and art collective Band of Doodlers. However the drawings got taken down one day after being introduced on the gov.sg website. Well, it looks like the Singapore government still cannot get enough of superheroes. The Economic Development Board (EDB) recently released another four cartoon "heroes". These cartoon characters are meant to represent four different Covid19 diagnostic test kits for detection, contact tracing and containment efforts.

Would Anyone Care About Offensive Comments On EDMW?

Recently, Minister Shanmugam said that action will be taken against a man who made insulting posts about Indians and Covid-19 on Twitter under the handle Sharon Liew @sharonliew86 some weeks ago. I run a Twitter account where I upload screenshots of racists / anti-religious posts made by various Hardwarezone members, a forum owned by Singapore Press Holdings. Will anyone care about these offensive tweets?
