PAP TRYING TO TURN WATER INTO LUXURY ITEM FOR THE RICH?

Water price hike is normal but to increase 30% is abnormal. Normal will be 1%-5% for necessities like water. Water must never be a luxury. Ask any business manager or accountant, 30% increase can be only due to incompetency, greed, power, bad accounting and bad management.

MANY OTHER TEACHERS IN ITE MANHANDLES STUDENTS, IT'S A CULTURE THERE

I was there the whole day at the school. Notice many students acting like a gangster, smoking just outside the school compound, it's like a common sight. While I notice on the behaviour of the student, I also notice many teachers being aggressive towards few students too. It was just in front of me when an Indian boy who did not tuck in his white shirt walk past a teacher. The teacher just grab from the back of his neck and tell him to tuck the shirt in. I was shocked but did not say anything.

HOW COME WE PAY PROPERTY TAX FOR HOUSE WE SUPPOSEDLY OWN?

Having already paid thousands upon thousands for our dream house, be it HDB or condo or anything else with a roof, every year, we also need to pay the government taxes for what is essentially, a house we own. Of course, the house we own, we will never fully pay for it until maybe 30 years down the road, but still, it is our house. We paid for it to purchase it from HDB, not loan it. So, property tax?

Explanation from the govt is of course, property tax helps to fund children education, help the elderly in their medical facilities, and even help ordinary Singaporeans have a recreational space by funding all the parks in SG.

BITE THE BULLET, BUT SKIP THE LUNCH! WAYS TO SAVE MONEY TO PAY FOR INCREASED PRICES

The electricity tariff have risen in recent months by an average of 5.7%. Based on this, the bill for families living in four room HDB flats will increase by about $4.30. Add 12 months to this calculations, and you get $51.60. That is just the increase in tariffs, not the whole cost. What about water bill? 30% increase by July, so an average monthly water bill of $150 will cost $195 in July. An increase of $45. Multiply that for the next 6 months till end of the year, and the increase will be $270.

And finally, if, like most of us, stay in a PAP Town Council wards, S&CC will increase from June, and the increase will range from $0.50 to $9 per month. If we take the average, $4.50, this will mean an increase of $31.50 till end of the year. So, from now till end of the year, the increases total up to $51.60 + $270 + $31.50 = $353.10, which brings it to roughly about $30 extra to pay to the Govt every month.
