I saw this incident at Block 520 Woodlands Drive 14 when I passed by the area yesterday (1 Aug). The careless postman left 3 mail compartments unlocked. Residents were frustrated with such a gaping mistake.

McDONALD SINGAPORE’S NEW ITEMS IN MENU UPSET SOME SINGAPOREANS
McDonalds Singapore's new satay burgers and banana pie have received criticisms from Singaporeans. The new items were promoted in McDonald Singapore's Facebook page yesterday (15 July). Some Singaporeans we spoke to expressed disgust at the new burgers.

I am a regular swimmer in Woodlands Swimming Complex and my son also attends swimming lessons regularly in the same pool. There are times he will attend the lessons by himself because we are staying opposite the swimming complex. Last Saturday (12/07/2014), when I was showering in one of the cubicles at the male changing room that is furthest from the exit, I noticed some greyish spots on the cubicle wall.

I am a student from one of the three local universities. To increase my professional experience, I took on an additional internship at a boutique consultancy firm. This firm specializes in the investment advisory and strategic consulting. Unfortunately, this turned out to be my worst nightmare. A Pakistani full time staff (my direct supervisor) put me through tremendous amount of verbal abuse.

Naturally, after the successful repeal of 377A, I think the liberals will lobby for gay marriages. It is going to be a big overhaul of our laws: Woman's charter, Muslim Marriage Act and Inheritance Act as I remember these laws specifically use the word "woman". I am sure the word "spouse" has to be re-defined. Male-gay couples have no problems with adopting children as there is a loophole in the adoption system in Singapore which allows a single male to adopt children as long as the adopter passes the minimum age requirement.

So I hope those Singaporeans who go online claiming that retirees, for which I am one, are conned by CPF, etc. They should not do this unless they sufficiently know the intricacies of CPF and the investment environment for those who are risk averse and not risk takers but who still want to have some yields from their CPF money. For sure there will be Singaporeans, including retirees or to-be retirees, who are not happy with the MS issue but surely there will also be Singaporeans (am not sure if the latter is more than the former but no matter) who did/do their sums and consultations and made/make a considered judgement that the MS is not a bad idea afterall.

It is more worrying that shortly after the Mercedes gate crash incident, a video of the incident began circulating on the internet. The video, can be seen here was obviously recorded from a mobile phone in a ICA Ops Room that monitors security footage. To me, this is a serious breach of trust by the check point authorities. Despite the promise of an investigation, this incident happened more than 3 months ago, but neither the SPF nor the ICA have given Singaporeans an update of the "leak" which happened in a supposedly controlled & secured environment; but when PAP's political powers are under threat, the SPF acted swiftly and managed to capture the teenagers.

All four cinema chains have raised their ticket prices in unison. Although the cinemas do not have a government agency to look after them, the cinemas behaved as if they were transport companies acting under the Public Transport Council's Fare Review Committee where prices go up together! The cinemas' have colluded together in price fixing which put consumers like us at a disadvantage. What is the point of having more players to compete in the market when all of them can gang up, increase prices and Singaporeans are unable to do anything about it?

So, he has to ask Roy to apologise, remove the relevant content, and pay for damages. In two other similar cases, nobody went to court. Those two other persons can still criticize the PM. In fact, they have, in some cases, done a better job. Roy deliberately aggravated the situation. The PM has to press charges. I feel sad for Roy and have tried to advice him on his Facebook.
