A group of gamblers has submitted a petition to URA and Minister of National Development Mr Khaw Boon Wan, ST has learned. The petition urged the authorities to build columbariums beside the two integrated resorts which houses Singapore's casinos.

I thank the Govt for everything, i see how Singapore transform from a slump to a country of high standard now. In short, we really have to give credit to the Govt, so we dont wake up to riots, we dont see drugs going around or people holding guns and etc.

My mother is a senior staff nurse at a local hospital in Singapore who simply loves what she does. But this letter really broke her heart. It was from a patient who had been admitted for less than a week and she had been verbally abusing my mother, calling her “stupid”, “idiot” and “b*tch”. Once, she even spat on her when the hospital food was not to her liking.

Dear editor, I wish to alert you that there is a new phone scam by a PRC syndicate that is targeting Singaporeans. It is an elaborate ploy by the scammers and it can be very effective if the victim is unsuspecting! This was what happened:

Facts were distorted by the youngster who sent the letter to your community. Firstly, the youngster came in with his friend and demanded rudely for a SIM card ejector and when my colleague replied to him that we do not sell individual ejectors but rather, as a whole packge of adaptors and ejector at $10.90.

Eventually, my friend asked whether they can 'lend' us a SIM Card Ejector. The Sales Assistant shouted at us aggressively. Then, my friend told that rule Sale Assistant that he will be writing a complaint email to their Superior/Human Resources's Department. He shouted at us that 'You think you write complain letter, i scared you sibo? TMD!'

I am very disappointed with SAF. If the IPPT system is not broken, why fix it? What are the civil service scholars thinking? Why did they spend money to "upgrade" a system that hag lag issues and unreliable backend servers? We have already taken time and effort to train for our IPPT and yet we have to spend unnecessary time to wait for them to resolve computer problems?

Singapore Facebook user Sherry Ong received Facebook private messages from a personal friend who sought help to with cash flow problem with promise to return the funds at a later time. However, Sherry found the request suspicious and proceeded to ask a few questions to verify the authenticity of the person behind her friend's Facebook profile. She was right. It turned out that her friend's account was breached.

Widow Madam Chung has several bank accounts with more than 5 million dollars of deposit. However, court documents showed that the bank accounts were almost empty since February this year. Court documents have revealed that Yang Yin's combined savings in his Singapore bank accounts have grown to over a million dollars after his relocation to Singapore. It was not revealed the amount of monies that were transferred to his wife, if any, since his wife is not affected by Mareva Injunction.
