HOW AN EXPECTED WATERSHED ELECTION TURNED INTO A PAP LANDSLIDE VICTORY?

I have to credit our government for regularly making improved changes e.g. increased social and economic assistance to special, needy or elderly groups, improved on housing policies, taking steps to better the transport and educational system etc. PM Lee’s favourable image and words he said during the rallying period would also have a huge impact on swaying Singaporean voters.

ALL IS NOT LOST - THE PAP KNOWS IT MUST WORK TO KEEP OUR VOTES

All is not lost, S'poreans! We have to continue to shape our nation to be make it a comfortable home for our children and grandchildren. It is as our duty and responsibility as their elders. S'poreans have proven that we have the S'pore spirit that unites us and make us look after one another. Many of us love our country with its uniquely S'pore culture, food and Singlish. Many of us don't really want to migrate. Let's stay on and shape our nation.

SINGAPOREANS ARE KIA-SI (AFRAID TO DIE)

Have you ever wondered why the opposition lost the contest so badly? It is a simple explanation actually. We must understand that Singaporeans are patriotic and nationalistic. We do not treat the growth of our nations lightly and we take every concern seriously. Hence, any possible and probable setbacks should be eliminated. And this was exactly what happened in the last General Election.

But the most interesting point is that all seats were contested. Could the results have been much different if the Opposition were more united and had sent in their best candidates to contest only 44 seats and let the pap have 45 seats on Nomination Day? In a case of only 44 seats or less are contested, would the voters be more comfortable to vote for the Opposition? I would think so. The Opposition would definitely got a better share of the votes and many more Opposition candidates would have been elected.

LKY WON THE ELECTION IN GE2015

LKY died only 5 months ago. Yet the masses who attended his funeral procession were reminded again of his life and achievements again during the recent national day celebrations. PAP tied SG50 to LKY and their campaign for a strong mandate to keep Singapore united worked. They said LKY's demise showed that we should appreciate leaders while they are still around.

PRC COUPLE WHO PROTESTED IN THE MIDDLE OF BENDEMEER ROAD JAILED FOR FIVE WEEKS EACH

On Wednesday (9 September 2015), the PRC couple who knelt in the middle of Bendemeer Road outside the Ministry of Manpower office were each sentenced to five weeks imprisonment. In a statement released by the MOM it said that it takes a serious view of foreigners who breach Singapore laws. It will revoke the work passes of those charged, convicted and jailed, and permanently bar them from working here.

VIVIAN BALAKRISHNAN COOLING DAY COCKUP, SABO-ED BY TWITTER GLITCH?

Aiyoh! Last GE Kate Spade already kena jialat jialat for posting on cooling day then this time Vivian Balakrishnan go and post on his Twitter this morning at 1:52am. See liao right, I notice something funny leh. Seems like that particular tweet keep repeating itself randomly on his twitter over the past 5 days! I think it is more like twitter got some glitch or what because the original tweet appears on 6 Sep but then keep repeating 7 more times after that. Vivi why you never ownself check ownself??
