Moving forward today in 2014, my understanding is that they had stop giving out PR to polytechnic students but I simply cannot confirm they stop doing so for university students. From my deduction, the PR title is given out in order for them to clear their bonds without hassle on the grants they took from taxpayers' money, allows employers hire them cheap without the need for any long term employment passes thus depriving Singaporeans of their PMET jobs and for Singapore to appear business-friendly.
I see this this as Lui shifting the blame to motorists using the MCE for the initial congestion problems on the MCE for what a user (at 11 am on the Monday day, so he had plenty of time to observe his surroundings) told me was a failure by tpt officials: “There is only one sign indicating the first exit into the city. One would have tot that based on the signage used on other expressways, there would be signs saying ‘Exit to X, 100m’ etc at regular intervals.” As the media reports a lot more signage going up since I heard this comment, I assume this problem has been fixed. And that this is the source of the problem.
I want to share with you and your readers life as a Screening Officer with Certis Cisco Aviation Security Pte Ltd in Changi Airport Terminal 3. For a reputable company which proudly boasts about its good work ethics, its 3M Model (Man, Method, Machine) and good working conditions for its employees. It is quite hypocritical. A standard over view for a full time Screening Officer:
We do have a lot of PMETs who have lost their jobs and have no choice but to take up taxi, property and insurance licenses. They want their old job but are doing temp now. And I’m sure, for taking up such jobs even though it is out of necessity, the government will still consider them to be “employed”. The good economy is derived from overtaxing Singaporeans and casinos. Citizens have not really benefited. But to continue to hoodwink the public into believing that a good economy means many good jobs, they are “fixing the stats” through various means. With so many unemployed and underemployed people around me, how can I believe the government’s unemployment figure?
We called SingTel in hope that they would mail us our proof of purchase receipt. Their reply was 'As this is a new problem and case, thus you will have to check with the Apple service counter to solve the problem". They also said that if we wanted the proof of purchase, they will have it mail to us and it takes around three to five days. We asked for them to email the receipt to us as my dad needs the phone for work.
I find that HDB all this while have not been doing what they have been advertising. I am a middle income earner, earning a moderate income of $1.8k per month for the past few years. I have been applying for a flat from HDB for numerous times and yet have not got any. Surprisingly, the first time I submitted my HLE, it came back with a 90k loan which is seriously low.
While you were heading the Ministry of Health, WHAT WERE YOU DOING to allow such a situation to arise? You did not even add 1 single hospital bed despite the millions of FTs your government imported. This is about the ill and sick and you call yourself a good Buddhist? Are you not afraid of Kama for the suffering you caused to these ill and sick people due to your gross negligent on the job which you demanded to be paid in millions of dollars a year?
I am a 30-year-old lady. I have a daughter who’s in primary 2. I had a second child who unfortunately passed away on November 2012. I used to work in an office as an operation assistant for 3 years. After my maternity leave, I went back to work on April 1st.However, the management changed and my job title and salary were adjusted without informing me. I was so depressed at that time due to my loss of child at stillbirth.
It is now literally impossible for most people working in my sector to even survive decently because of the way the government has managed the IT outsourcing and let in so many foreigners in our sector. This is not a matter of changing times, but a flawed mentality of the government has made things really hard for the average man working in IT.
