COMMON SENSE THAT YISTANA FLAT CAN'T BE FULLY SECURE, WHY DIDN'T MDM PRESIDENT SEE THIS COMING?

Opposition politician Goh Meng Seng doesn't understand why Madam President did not foresee that it will be impossible for security personnel to fully keep her flat safe. He expected her to move out within a month but laughed that she only lasted 3 weeks.

I PITY YOUTHS FOR DRIVING UBER DESPITE STUDYING SO MUCH, WHAT'S THE GOVT DOING?

A taxi driver finds it sad that educated youths are turning to private hire instead of getting proper jobs that match their qualifications. Why is it so difficult to get a job in Singapore nowadays? Why is it so poorly managed?

S'PORE PROPERTY: ONLY 0.25% ANNUAL RETURNS IN PAST TWENTY YEARS?

I refer to the article “Private home prices rise 0.5% in Q3, ending nearly four years of decline: URA flash data” (Straits Times, Oct 2). It states that “Private property prices have officially turned a corner, ending 15 quarters of decline that began in October 2013. If you look at the above chart – you can see that the URA Private Residential Property Price Index only grew by about 5.5 per cent in the last 21 years or so, or just about an annualised return of only 0.25 per cent.

FOREIGN TALENT WANTS ICA OFFICERS TO USE THEIR BRAINS AFTER THEY DEPORTED HIS RELATIVE FOR CONFIDENTIAL REASONS

Dear ICA Officers in Changi, Please do your assessment properly on the people you want to deport. Know what really is their purpose in coming to your country and do not discriminate, nor act rudely. Please be fair-minded and use your brains logically in your decisions. The officer said we need not wait for her and ask politely if we could talk to the deciding officer or talk to my cousin since she doesn’t talk english well and doesn’t have the proper budget of going back alone. The officers are heartless and said that it is confidential. I want to yell, scream and tell the officer what if he is on my shoes.

RESERVED S'PORE PRESIDENT HALIMAH NOW WANTS TO MOVE OUT OF YISTANA HOME DUE TO SECURITY CHALLENGES

Thank you for everyone's concern with regard to my residential arrangements. MHA has just issued a statement about the security challenges they face if I continue to stay in my current home. Therefore, as much as I would like to continue living in my current home in Yishun, I have accepted MHA's recommendation and will make arrangements to move to a new place soon.
